Anthony argues that the high level of support for torture among conservative Christians and of abortion among liberal (ORTHODOX!) Christians is derived far more from the world than from the Christ.  He encourages everyone to consider themselves first as members of the body of the Christ and - at best - temporary allies (rather than members of) political parties and even nations.
